Following a highly successful webinar series for general practitioners, in which we had the privilege of training hundreds of GPs in transgender care, we are now excited to announce our expansion into Mental Healthcare! With new (CHECK-IN GENDERZORG) and trusted (ZORGVULDIG ADVIES) partners, we have put together a package that every youth care professional can work with.
The care for transgender individuals will increasingly shift to primary care in the coming years. This is not just our opinion; see also the report My Gender, Whose Care? by ZonMW. Primary care can already play a significant role in identity discovery and helping individuals find the right care.
The webinar covers a lot. We look at the experiences of transgender individuals, common terms, and advice from the community to create a safe and inclusive environment. We also explore the care pathway and the options available for transgender individuals who wish to transition. Of course, we also examine the role of Mental Healthcare in this, with time for your questions.
